"Not perfect, but Best in Class"4.5 starson by benchmarker
Pros: FAST auto protection. Ease of use. Low resource use.
Cons: Backup options could be better - like Ghost
Summary: I'm a power-user, a gamer, graphic artist, and computer enthusiast (build/overclock systems). I love to tweak things. I also love to not have to worry about stuff. I received a free copy of Norton 360 through a promotional event and I love it! Of all the full internet security suites out there, N360 uses the least amount of resources and protects the most against spyware, viruses, and trojans/hack tools. That's a win-win in my book.
My computer runs smoother, safer, and more secure than it ever has. People complain about not having enough control. Honestly, what are you doing that you need more than N360 offers? Who cares if it "just takes care of things". I'd prefer that so I can go back to whatever I'm doing and not sweat the small stuff.
Afraid of Big Brother? From Norton? Well then, maybe you should reconsider what you're using your computer for if you're that ridiculously paranoid.
Can't right click to scan a file/folder? NEWSFLASH - YOU DON'T NEED TO. Once a file is placed on your local drive, N360 scans it automatically. It happens so fast you don't even realize it. I PURPOSELY put virus-filled files on my computer just to see what would happen. N360 deleted them/fixed them before were done copying! The firewall is great and N360 keeps my wireless home network running fine. Plus the program keeps my hard drives optimized and running smoothly automatically.
The only useless part of 360 for me is the backup option. It's OK if you just want to back up certain types of files, but I'd rather back up whole drives. That's why I have Norton Ghost. Ghost and 360 have made my life a hell of a lot easier. I recommend both.
BOTTOM LINE: N360 will keep your computer safe, secure, and running faster than any other suite out there.
