"cnet sponsor gets an "excellent" review."1.0 starson by gregorymcdaniel
Pros: I can't rate it as I haven't installed it yet.
Cons: If you have time left on your 2008 subscription, Live Update won't upgrade you as it did for the 2007-to-2008 upgrade.
The online chat support is and has always been a tremendous waste of time.
Summary:Rating as one star for its poor upgrade experience as compared to the 2007-to-2008 upgrade. You have to know that downloading and installing trialware--outside the LiveUpdate system--will result in a licensed version installed. Norton's site only suggests that you will have to pay $50 for the 2009 version to get it, even if you say you're upgrading from 2008 NIS.
