This is a great program
Pros: Easy to use with lots of great truly useful features
Cons: You have to pre-determine the size of the encrypted folder (but you can easily change it later on if you want to)

Worst of all, there is no technical support whatsoever. Salt in the wound is that I actually paid for this. Bought from ZoneLabs, another sad story. BEWARE of STEGANOS.

Useful Encryption product for any data
Pros: Lots of useful features, especially safe and trace destructer
Cons: Downloading updates leads to crash crash bang bang
As I am a mobile user having an encrypted and hidden hard-drive is an excellent idea. If someone steals my laptop there is very little chance of anyone accessing my data. Even protecting personal items like calendar information and holiday photos is incredibly easy and worthwhile in my opinion.
The only problem I have had with this software is as described by others is crashing. I made the mistake of downloading the updates to version 7 and my computer immediately crashed and went into into blue screen. I removed the program and reinstalled it without downloading the latest updates and it has been no problem since!
I recommend it for anyone who keeps senstive data or in fact any data that they don't want prying eyes to see.
It has a wealth of useful features. If you have problems with this Suite I recommend trying an individual product such as trace destructer or Safe and seeing if that solves the problem.

This program will crash your computer over and over again.
Pros: What it is "supposed" to be able to do.
Cons: Very unstable program and Zero customer support.
Recently I had to pay to renew my Zone Alarm Pro Firewall software and Zone Labs offered other software at discounted prices if you purchased while paying for the Zone Alarm Pro renewal. One of the software packages they were offering was Steganos Security Suite 7.
Since I still run Steganos Security Suite 3, I thought it would be a good time to pick up the latest version of Steganos Security Suite (7). What a HUGE mistake!
I am very experienced in installing software (even problem software), and I had installation problems from the start. I installed and uninstalled the program at least 6 times ? trying to get it to work. The program starts up when you boot into your OS and Steganos completely takes over the computer from there. My computer would frequently freeze/lock up for no apparent reason and stable programs I have had on my computer for some time without problems now either wouldn?t run or my computer would just freeze.
I tried installing the software in safe mode but that didn?t help. I went to the Steganos website (they are based in Europe) looking for solutions for the problems this software was having and causing. I clicked on the English link but that only gets you a basic welcome page in English. I clicked on support and was taken to the support page but unfortunately I don?t read or understand German and nothing there was written in English. I wrote two emails to Steganos support and to date (almost two months later) I still have not heard back from them.
To add insult to injury, nothing you can do ? short of reformatting your hard drive ? will completely remove the program once you?ve installed it. I?ve manually edited out all of the program I can access, but there are a few files it will not allow you to access no matter what method you try. There are still traces of the Steganos Security Suite 7 in my computer and they have caused it to become unstable ? but at least it isn?t locking up every few minutes as it was doing when I had the program installed.
I have since reinstalled my old Steganos Security Suite 3, and it runs as smoothly as before, but I?m still going to have to reformat my hard drives to get rid of the rest of the Steganos Security Suite 7 program. I?m saving that project for a rainy day. I have nothing personal against Steganos. Like I said, I?m a long time user and fan of their Security Suite 3 program, but take my advice. Avoid the Steganos Security Suite 7 like the plague it is. As a side note, system restore cannot restore your computer after you have installed Steganos Security Suite 7 ? and I don?t think anything short of reformatting your hard drive(s) will fix the problems caused by installing their Security Suite 7.
I would still appreciate hearing from a Steganos customer service rep. Perhaps if they read these reviews, they could offer a solution/patch or fix. As it stands, I wouldn't wish this program on a Spammer. That's how bad it is.

there is no support (even for the paid version) when your pc crashes (and it will - trust me)
Pros: I suppose if you PC didn't always crash it would have been a great product
Cons: Install this program at your own risk, your pc will crash and don't bother turning to the company for support - there is none
Over the last month I have tried reaching support but I have never received a reply to any of my emails - is that a company your want to entrust your data to? I say no, I uninstalled this program and my PC works perfectly again.
I cannot warn enough against this software and its creator.
