Summary Every year, I download and test the new security suites in an attempt to improve my computer's security while reducing the drain on system resources and maintaining usability. This is what led me to Trend Micro. Some suites are very heavy and slow, others provide too much protection (e.g., cannot even see other computers on our local network), and others are not complete. Trend Micro does exactly what it needs to do without getting in the way.
The cnet review questions the efficacy of the software because they don't participate in certain tests anymore -- you know, the ones that load up the computer with old viruses and see how many the software can detect/remove. If that is how you use your computer, then you'll probably want security software that passes those tests.
However, if you use your computer for internet access and email, you'll probably want a security suite that does well against security threats that come from those sources. In that type of test, Trend Micro finishes at the top of the heap.
Please note that I do not use all of Trend Micro's features, specifically anti-spam and parental controls. Microsoft offers a better parental control set that you can download for free, and Cloudmark offers a superior anti-spam that uses community feedback for blocking bad emails that works better than anything I've tried. but as far as firewall, anti-virus, anti-malware, etc., Trend micro is the way to go. -
"NO PROBLEMS"
on by The BobPros I've install the new 2010 version I have no problems. The quick scan is faster. Boots much faster. No PROBLEMS what so ever, 5 stars on 5. I've installed the Pro and it runs very well on Vista. Very, very good product.
Cons Nothing to say. But if you call and get an agent that is bad hang up and call another one. Chat and e-mail support is great.

With regards to your concern, I have checked the Cnet's review of our Trend Micro Internet Security 2010. It's early to conclude since our Trend Micro Internet Security 2010 has just been released to the market last August 24, 2009. And as I have checked the internet Cnet (ZDnet) is the first one to release a review and they don't recommend our product because only the Trend Micro Internet Security 2010 doesn't join the AV-Comparatives.org which is an AV testing company. Trend Micro is a client of Cascadia Labs, which is of the leading independent AV Testing Company and this means that Trend Micro doesn't mean that the Trend Micro Internet Security 2010 lacks in efficacy and middling performance. I would suggest that you can try our Trend Micro Internet Security 2010 (Trial Version) and see for your self the difference of the reviews of Cnet on our products. Installed it and it's faster to boot up and quick scan. Very good product since 4 years but don't put anything else on your computer. It likes to work alone.

"Stellar software in 64 bit vista or windows 7"
on by rob_kirkpatrickPros Everything, runs great wont break the bank you can always find a good price on a 3 pack. Works without issues in Windows 7 32 and my os 64 bit.
Cons none that i found other than the system tune up is weak.
