"Causes frequent system crashes in Vista machine"
Pros: Liked the speed of the product.
Cons: Causes frequent system crashes (blue screen) in my Vista system. Tech support couldn't come up with a solution after weeks of back and forth.
Summary: Don't buy this product. I've de-installed and walking away from my subscription...that's how bad the system instability caused by TrendMicro.

I too have had similar problems with my system crashing. I had to set my PC back to factory settings. Everything seemed to be running fine. I d/l 2009 Internet Security. Everything was fine. Then updated and re-booted as directed. Exact same crash problem began happening again. I have been a big fan of Trend Mirco's products for past 10 years, but this one has been very frustrating, especially since I have a fairly new PC.

Haven't had any Vista crashes with it. The main issue I found was to first be sure Vista wasn't running any duplicate processes (like its own firewall that is built in). Did you disable the Service (Windows Defender)? Just a suggestion.

I wonder if your case is an exception. Like other reviewers, I've nothing but good results from this newest version of Trend. It's quick with minimum drag on system resources. Hope you get your problems worked out.
