Pros None that I could find
Cons Disconnected from internet - had to uninstall to regain access
Summary Killed my internet connection upon installation. That's one way to make sure you don't get spyware! (Running XP with all new hardware.) Quick check of Zone Alarm forums revealed this as a common problem that wasn't necessarily fixable by taking recommended steps. I uninstalled it and my connection came right back. Sorry, but I can't endorse Zone Alarm with these kind of bugs.
Pros I purchase it from the online store is as good as software http://www.discountdownloadsoftware.com/anti-virus-internet-security-remove-spyware-c-21_71616_71614.html?filter_id=15838.
Cons It is good spyware
Summary My Pc was working very slow and was being hand every few min. I was frustrated about the spyware, than I use the trial version of the ZoneAlarm Anti-Spyware. I really liked it and qucik buy the full version.
Pros Zone Alarm scanned my C/drive in three minutes
Cons None. I have Security Suit
Summary I prefer Zone Alarm to both Norton & McAfee. Over the years Norton has screwed up my software programs many times, and McAfee is a joke. Zone Alarm puts both of them to shame in performance and price.
Pros Scans thoroughly and updates signatures hourly.
Cons Scan time for a deep scan can take a long time.
Summary I have run the ZoneAlarm security suite for three years now and this product is included in it. It offers quite a few options for scanning and actions. I have never had a problem with the operation of my computer and it did not slow the computer down like others stated. Norton/Symantec on the other hand caused the boot time to go through the roof! While I do agree with one other review stating "buy a router" software firewalls do alert you to what programs are doing. So if malware tries to connect to the Internet you will know it. A hardware firewall keeps the hackers out, not malware.
Pros It probably stops spyware
Cons More trouble than it's worth
Summary There appears to be no usable support for this program. I would get an announcement every few seconds that some intruder was trying to send e-mail from my account. It required me to deny these attempts, one-by-one. I could do nothing else but hit the deny button. Why bother?
