"Looks great but you will eventually grow to hate it"
Pros: looks good
Cons: bad hardware engineering, worse software
Summary: I have been using this keyboard daily for several months and have finally given up. The keyboard mat will shift after a few months of regular use, rendering the left shift and alt keys nonfunctional. You can open it up and fix the problem, but that will void the warranty. The setpoint software has lots of problems with XP SP2. Updates are very infrequent. They don't use the Microsoft bluetooth stack. If you don't use setpoint, then the media pad is non functional. The mouse barely gets through a day of work before needing a recharge. I really wanted to like this thing, and was willing to pay lots of money for it, but I have finally given up. If you want to see some fustrated users, check out the logitech support forums. I did manage to get my Palm Tungsten to connect to the hub, but it took a lot of hacking and checking out various tricks. Do not buy this thinking that you will have a nice bluetooth hub.
Do yourself a big favor, and buy something else.

Some of the problems should be possible to fix. First of all I'm glad they don't use the Microsoft Bluetooth stack, it's a really bad driver for Bluetoothe devices and offer no user modes, like FTP transfer of files to mobile phone. I'm considering the logitech product just because they do not use the microsoft version.
If you havent successfully removed the microsoft bluetooth stack you might get problems like you had. Real important.
When it comes to the mouse and recharging you can always replace those rechargable batteris with some with greater capacity (if you check the battery it should say something about mAh, which translate to how long they last). Use some with 2100mAh for instance. But I do believe that Logitech should supplied better batteries.
