"Great Functionality, User Friendly Features, Short Battery Life" on by makeitpretty

Pros: Love the quick touch buttons and customizable function keys. The keyboard has a comfortable touch and user friendly features.

Cons: The battery life for the keyboard is exactly 30 days! No more, no less! I would have preferred a higher profile, but I have adjusted to the angles.

Summary: I use this as my work keyboard and I do large volumes of data entry daily. A comfortable keyboard is an absolute must for me. I have really enjoyed the customizable one touch buttons and absolutely love the Media Launch buttons. I like to listen to music and/or educational materials while working and I love being able to pause my materials with the flick of a finger when I receive a phone call and another flick and I've picked up right where I left off. The mouse is very comfortable; I am not a big fan of the monster mouse so the slim feel is perfect for me. I have one HUGE gripe; the battery life on the keyboard is ridiculous. I have logged my usage and regardless of my workload, I have to replace my keyboard batteries every 30 days. I am a big fan of sucking ever drop of juice out of my batteries, but once you get the warning on the keyboard batteries, you have less than 48 hours to change them. The mouse on the other hand will continue to function normally for as much as three weeks after the critical battery notice. All in all, I love this set. Accuracy and speed are imperative for my work and this does the trick. Just keep extra batteries on hand.

    "Still Happy" on by Asev714

Pros: Great functional mixed with practical customization

Cons: Battery Life could always be better on wireless devices.

Summary: Used this with my labtop to replace the keyboard and after 4 years I continue to use it with my computer. I really like the feel of the keyboard but I have gone and replaced the mouse for something more powerful. Never any issues and one of the few pieces of hardware installed that i actually use the software that comes with it.

"I was ready to throw it away" on by mungo_sd

    Pros: it finally works

    mouse is nice

    Cons: feet fall out
    antenna is sensitive

Summary: I just use the keys, none of the extra button & it works OK.

The legs in the back keep falling out.
The antenna is too delicate. I spent hours getting up & down to adjust it. the KB was only 8 ft away from the laptop & antenna. it would work & then stop, sometimes I had to reboot. . I elevated the laptop off teh floor & moved the USB cable. The antenna didn't move. Suddenly the KB works like a champ. A friend has the same problem, maybe it will fix his too.

"Lasts a long time" on by teslook4ITJob

    Pros: Prgrammable keys

Cons: Battery life could be better

Summary: I have had the wireless keyboard and mouse set for two years now and it works pretty good. The programmable keys make it easier to access applications on your computer. The battery life is not that great, have to replace the battery on keyboard every other month or so. The mouse has a longer battery life and I like the warning that the software generates when battery life is low on either device. Once both the mouse and keyboard are connected wirelessly, they are good to go. I had to re-install Windows twice since having this set due to other malfunctions. The keyboard and mouse had a hard time re-connecting. After changing the batteries it would take about 10 minutes to get the keyboard and mouse to sync with the wireless connector. Other than that, once keyboard and mouse have a new start, they continue to function pretty good.

"Great option for HTPC" on by cryandavis

Pros: Easy setup, excellent range, programmable function keys

Cons: Specialized keys on either side not too useful.

Summary: Wanted a wireless keyboard/mouse for a new Vista Media Center setup - the LX710 is a good choice. Setup is pretty much automatic, and four programmable function keys = media center, netflix, hulu and youtube with one keystroke. Works fine at 15 feet. Keyboard would be a little flat for desktop use, but for this application that's not really an issue. Mouse works great. Build quality is excellent.
