"Great looking but otherwise a lemon!" on by angrykeyboarder
Pros: The most aesthetically pleasing Logitech made till the DiNovo
Cons: premature wear of letters on several keyboard keys, mouse died after 30 days.
Summary: Frankly only the DiNovo is better looking. I think the cordless duos they have released since this one (the original) aren't nearly as attractive.
But looks don't make up for the fact that the mouse just died 30 days after I got it. It won't accept a charge at all, no matter how much you play with getting the contacts to meet on both charger and mouse.
After 4 or 5 charges the charger (or the mouse?) was history.
I went back to using a corded mouse I had previously. The keyboard was great though, till about 6 months after I got it when I noticed the letters on 6-7 keys were wearing off.
I expect keys to wear off but after 5-6 years, not 5-6 months.
I've worn out several keyboards in the past but again it took years, not months.
I think my Cordless MX Duo must have been shipped from the "Logitech Lemon Factory" -
"Awesome Duo" on by jdowning
Pros: Wireless, Amazing battery life, ps2/usb
Cons: receiver derives power from wall AC
Summary: This keyboard mouse combo is great. I didnt at first know if I would like the extra stuff on the keyboard, but I have set the program buttons to all the programs I call up on a normal basis. The battery life is amazing, I can go almost a week without charging the mouse, and at school, I use it a ton. I have had no problems in games either, works exellent. Its also just generally nice not to have the wires running all over the place.
Excellent buy, definately worth the money. -
"Love Logitech" on
Pros: Easy to setup and use. I love this mouse. I have the wired version as well, I really can't tell the difference even when I'm gaming.
Cons: The only thing is setting up all the buttons on the keyboard. The software I downloaded from Logitech doesn't really help much.

"Try Cleaning it." on by CODE_MERK
Pros: Great keyboard and mouse for the past 6 years
Cons: No cons until a few weeks ago where the keyboard would start to randomly send out singnals to the computer activating two different programs, Windows Media and search.
Summary: This set is an excellent keyboard and mouse.just recently after 6 years of having this keyboard and mouse have it started to give me some issues. I've had the same problem as "angrykeyboarder" had with his mouse where I couldn't get the mouse to charge. Because I had no warranty left, I decided to take a look inside both mouse and reciver. Apparently the reason why it would not charge was due to the gold oxidizing on both mouse and the receiver which left this white residue on the contacts preventing the current from flowing from the charger to the mouse. This is an easy fix as all you need to do to clean off the oxidized gold is to use the tip of an eraser and simply rub off the residue from the contacts of both the mouse and charger. The charger, due to its shape is not going ot get clean without actualy opening up the charger.
(I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO SAY THIS BUT DO NOT HAVE CHARGER PLUGED IN AS YOU WORK ON IT AS WELL AS MOUSE AND KEYBOARD!!!)
when opened you will have to unplug the connecter inside to take off the top half of the reciver. undo the screws and take out the top chipset board. Carfully clean off the gold connectors and put divice back together again. It should now charge once again!
My keyboard been acting up for a week now where it would start to "press" buttens on it's own send out the single for it and has even had a problem with connecting with the reciver. I could usualy fix this problem after a few "taps" on the keyboard and then it seems to work fine after that. It's not the batterys nor is it "broken" in the sence of loss parts. If anyone else had this problem and fix it could you please tell. Thanks. -
"Great keyboard and mouse combo!" on by jedirock
Pros: Keyboard has a nice feel, lots of function keys on both keyboard and mouse
Cons: Mouse can sometimes jump around after a few hours of use
Summary: This is an awesome keyboard and mouse combo! I have been using it for about two years now, and the only problem I've had with it is that the mouse will start to stop sending signals after using it for a few hours. However, all I have to do is lift the mouse a bit, then put it back down, and it works fine again. Battery life is incredible; I'm still using the original batteries that came with the unit! The most useful keys I think are the forward and back keys on the mouse. When using another mouse on another computer, I find my self reaching for those buttons even though they aren't there! I can highly recommend this keyboard/mouse combo!
