Pros precise operation, high quality
Cons The time/date LCD readout is dim
Summary This is a great product from Logitech. I have had it about 6 weeks, with no problems. The 2.4 MHz wireless link is flawless. The mouse is very well designed and feels great. The keyboard has many features, and is ready for Microsoft Vista. The keys have a good feel, and the keyboard lays flat, very comfortable. Everything is high quality. I have the Logitech 880 Harmony TV Remote, and it works great. That led me to the MX3200. I highly recommend it.
Pros very sleek design, quiet keys, easy installation
Cons have to get used to the mouse
Summary im not going to lie, $100 is a little pricey for a wireless keyboard and mouse... but this is worth every penny of it. ive only had it for a weekend and have gotten alot of compliments from my friends. the keys feel comfy and the design is very sleek. installation is a breeze since its all just plug n play. overall my opinion is that if you have the money to spend, go for it! but if not then buy something cheaper thatll do the same thing. for $100, youre really buying the design and coolness.
Pros Very nice smooth touch. Programable hot keys and mouse buttons are great.
Cons Downloading and installing drivers proved challenging in a secure network environment.
Summary I'm not sure what the complaints are about. I've had mine for about 4 months and replaced the battery on the mouse for the first time last week after using it all day every day at work. I've never had to reconnect even when replacing the battery. I can use the mouse and keyboard three rooms away (framed walls not cubicles), although I'm not sure why you would need to. I haven't experienced the mouse lag that has been referenced, although I do on my other wireless combo. The programable hot keys are a great compliment to the windows operating system and multiple buttons on the mouse are very useful. The keyboard has the smoothest touch of any I've ever owned. I bought mine as a refurbished unit so it cost less than most. I'm considering buying additional MX3200 combos for my other computers. I've never been disatisfied with anything I've bought from Logitech.
Pros nice feel and great design
Cons latency - split second disturbs percpetion
Summary I tried this keyboard thinking wireless might have advanced since the last time I attempted to use a wireless mouse. Indeed it has, but the split second latency disturbed me. That said, I work on computers around 12 hours a day and type fast, thus, the keyboard latency was killer and annoying...and the mouse latency meant that interaction with the computer was slightly randomized and unpredictable.
Now, I'm talking about split second...the kind most people probably will never notice, but for "power users" or someone who works for a long time at a computer, this keyboard and mouse is a bad choice. I would first say to stick with wired as I have yet to use a wireless solution that doesn't have this problem to some degree.
Other than that I have heard good things about the Microsoft wireless workstation 6000. I myself am going wired with a kinesis contour keyboard and some simple mouse.
Cons Abysmal tech help
Summary I had an older Logitech unit with EXACTLY the same configuration as the one shown which I used on a PC which crapped out. Then I got a lovely new HP Pavilion a6212n which came with that awful Windows Vista.
Anyway, the HP keyboard gave me a case of painful wrists after two months, so I dug the Logitech unit out of storage and fired it up. It worked great except for a message that kept urging me to upgrade for some additional line of software or two. So I went on line to Logitech.
As they say in Brooklyn, FUGGEDABOUDDIT. Their "on line" is in INDIA and English is a second or third language. They advised me to download software for a keyboard which in NO WAY resembled my keyboard DESPITE THE FACT THAT I HAD TO INPUT MY SERIAL NUMBER AND MODEL NUMBER TO EVEN GET TO THE TECH SUPPORT IN THE FIRST PLACE.
The ePinions place is also NOT the place to utter a complaint, either, I found out since Logitech is A SPONSOR and ADVERTISES! So if you have a complaint, somehow any attempt at "dissing" Logitech goes nowhere.
As they say right here; "Been there, done that."
On the other hand, the keyboard is GREAT, it's just that their tech support is EXECRABLE.
