Summary: when i read the reviews before i bought it, i saw all the complaints about the pointer. i thought that the problem was that it was in an inconvenient spot, and that people didn't like the little eraser nubbin style of pointer. in fact, those are not the main problem. the problem is that it's the worst implementation of the nubbin-style pointer i've ever come across. the pointer must be pressed down at the same time as it is pushed in a given direction. it requires about as much pressure as opening a soda-pop can, which is to say, a lot more than you want to apply for any period of time. you can imagine the hand-cramps you would get trying to use it even for a morning "check your regular websites" session. the other problem with the pointer is that it is very hard to control.
this is a great product idea, and i do find it useful for as long as i am willing to torture myself with the pointer. -

Pros: Looks good on paper.
Cons: Worthless pointer, mouse buttons on the opposite side of the keyboard from pointer
Summary: The whole point of an all-in-one keyboard is to be able to do everything in one place without being attached to the CPU. This pointer doesn't work at all - you have to mash it down and try to guide it at the same time. When it finally responds, it does so big time, and you end up on the other side of the screen. This whole experience is AFTER you FINALLY locate the service pack or upgrade or whatever they call it on the Microsoft website and get it downloaded and installed. This piece of junk is exactly why people are embracing the simplicity of Apple. Stay far, far away from this frustrating, time-wasting, wretch of a product from a company that pays people enough to know better than to inflict this on innocent purchasers. If you need support or want to complain about it, you better do it quickly because the Microsoft website says that if you wait more than 90 days to try to solve it, you will have to pay $35 for any kind of support at all. All this from the company that is going to build your "Digital Lifestyle". Ha!

Pros: Weak signal, buttons hard to use, does almost nothing of what it should
Cons: Good looking design, but it doesn't matter
Summary: Seeing this keyboard on the web is one thing - using it is another. It's too small to type comfortably, it has terrible range. I was sitting directly in front on the IR and still it missed letters and the mouse was VERY hard to use. I read a similar review to mine but still bought it to see for myself. He was right. Great concept, just doesn't work well at all. Buyer beward.

Pros: powerful infrared - receives well; dedicated buttons
Cons: terrible mouse; too small
Summary: This is a nice keyboard. I really like the dedicated buttons for Media PC such as Live TV, Recorded TV, etc. Other wireless keyboards don't have these.
However the mouse makes it just unusable. Even seasoned stick mouse users will have a lot of trouble controlling this mouse.
Fix the mouse and this KB would be great. -

Pros: everything is at your figure tips, its almost like the mce remote in the fact that the buttons are very close to the real remote, which makes it fast and easy to get use to. I have used others
Cons: 1 thing, the point is really bad.....saying this is simple language
Summary: I would recomend anyone with a mce setiup like mine..I even use mine hooked up to a 30 inch lcd right next to my chair in the living room, plus I can switch on the fly to view my mce on my big screen, a sont 50 inch..when you use a netowrk, tivo, dual, a sont dvd rocorder and even have an extender for my office for mce, and the keyboard supports them all..now just added a pc pocket phone, a sansumg i730.looking at more items to intergrate..but first...get the mce keyboard...you will be happy, email me if you would like some suggestions on my setup.
