"Packed with features and ergonomics"
Pros: Unique keyboard features, very comfortable mouse and keyboard
Cons: I don't use half the features on the keyboard, the keyboard doesn't integrate well with iTunes, and the oversized delete key is annoying.
Summary: This is my first high-end keyboard and mouse set.
I'm impressed with how comfortable the ergonomic features are. The curve of the keyboard is subtle enough that you don't feel like you have to re-learn how to use the keyboard. It's a nice compromise from the standard box-like keyboards and the split-and-curved ergonomic keyboards.
I like that the keyboard denotes ctrl key functions along the bottom of each key. So, on the V key, it denotes that it is also the Paste function, etc.
Additionally, all of the F* function keys are given special features... I've personally not used these at all. But it would probably be a great feature for those who prefer using their keyboard functions instead of their mouse.
I especially like that the windows calculator has it's own button by the numerical keypad. I use the calculator a lot, and this makes the process of calling the program up very swift and easy.
There are also a number of program launch and favorite keys along the left and top of the keyboard and you have the option to customize these with your favorite programs.
One thing I do wish is that the keyboard play/pause/ff/rewind buttons would integrate better with iTunes. These buttons work when you have iTunes maximised or in miniPlayer mode, but it doesn't work if iTunes is minimized in the tray. And it's only when the program is minimized in the tray do I find these keys useful. But, honestly, I wasn't expecting a Windows product to work at all with an Apples product. Consider me surprised that it (sort of) does.
My one real complaint about the keyboard is the arrangement of the delete/home/end/pg keys. The delete key is oversized and the home/end/pg keys have been shuffled around. Now every time I go to the use the home or end key, I find myself messing with the pg up and down keys before I realize the issue. I've had this keyboard for a month, and I'm still not use to it.
The mouse shape is amazing. It fits perfectly in the palm of my hand. I've never used a more comfortable mouse. The "magnifier" on the mouse is much appreciated. Now when I'm confronted with tiny web graphics, with one click, I can get a better look.
I've had no problems with it's wireless-ness. The connection never cuts off and the mouse never hangs. Nor does it appear to be a huge battery drain. After a month of using it, I'm still using the same original batteries.
All in all, this product is highly recommended by me.
