"This is simply one of the best keyboards you can buy."5.0 starson by keyboardlover
Pros: Excellent build quality (built to last), Topre capacitive switches, 6 key rollover. These keyboards are primarily used in environments which require 100% reliability. They are excellent keyboards for gaming and typing.
Cons: 104-key is better than 103-key (I prefer 2 windows keys). Also I prefer the variable-force model to the all 55g weighted model. But the 55g is definitely nice if you prefer a heavier switch.
Summary: Bottom line: if you are serious about keyboards and do a lot of typing and/or gaming, a Realforce may just be the perfect keyboard for you. The switches are like absolute butter when you're typing and touch typists can fly with these, with very little finger strain. The 6 key rollover is perfect for FPS gaming which requires multiple key presses. Whatever you do, DO NOT listen to the other reviewer who obviously did not know what they were buying before they bought this keyboard. Who cares about extra USB ports when the typing experience is absolutely sublime?
You should be aware that the black on gray lettering can be difficult to see in low lighting. If you're already a touch typist, this will actually make you a better touch-typist. And if you're not, there are white Realforces available with black lettering. And they are not "grossly overpriced" as the prices for these in Asia are actually much higher. In fact, the buyer was lucky to get theirs at the price they did! But also, you can find specials on these often, and sometimes they are available for sale on ebay and other websites. The other reviewer was obviously looking for a cheap gaming keyboard like a Logitech or Razer - if you want something like this, then you're not serious about keyboards. Topre is a very well known company in Asia and are in no way "obscure" - one of their major clients is an airline who only uses Realforce keyboards for their 100% reliability.
