  • "it says 320GB but only has 298."

    Pros: i did not see any pros

    Cons: it says ultraslim design but it is thicker than my 3-year old WD 150GB phdd.

    Summary: they are liers!! their lie is as big as 22GB

    So, you are right and wrong.
    If you turn on Windows it will tell you the drive has 298 GB. But using 'Properties' gives the exact amount (in bytes) of used, free and total space, which should be approx. 320000000000 bytes.
    Thing is, that this is binary information, 1 KB has 2^10 bytes = 1024 (not 1000). So, calculating your 298*1024*1024*1024=319 975 063 552 bytes, which is pretty close to 320*10^9.
    320 GB is said for convenience, and you will find that with every hard disk.
