Pros: good looks, sleek model
Cons: never worked out of the box !! They have neither given a replacement or a refund. Bunch of thieves!!!
Summary: please dont buy anything from transcend or relance time out ever.
Worst experience with electronics ever.
It never worked out of the box and the cable was missing. My case id is TSCBLR100005768DW
Even though I am entitled to replacement under warranty.
It has been 2 months but I haven?t received a replacement. I am tired of calling these ppl again n again.
They have made me run pillar to post and no one is willing to take responsibility.
Neither the retailer, nor the distributor or the clowns in Taiwan. Whenever I send them an email they reply that sorry for inconvenience and they have requested to push the case .
I don?t think these guys even understand English. They are just a bunch of copy pasters .
I have asked for refund but they will not provide that or provide a replacement.
A company that makes millions of harddrives cannot find a spare to replace a defective one ? horrid !!!
Whats going on ? Their delivery tracking is in stone age ? cant tell when a shipment will arrive. Its been stuck in transit since 2 months.
They keep saying it is in transit . I think they have stopped producing it and keep saying its out of stock..
God forbid I will never buy anything from transcend or from reliance timeout the stupid retailer ever again.
Neither they give replacement nor they refund and have only put me through mental harassment. I am going to file a complaint in consumer court on this.

"Good Drive, not well thought out software" on by riw
Pros: I like the form factor of this drive --although it's a bit larger than other portables, if the shock proofing works, it's worth the slightly larger size. Good capacity and speed, works on both my Mac and my Windows machine.
Cons: The software is oriented towards backup, and not any other use. The encryption included on the drive apparently doesn't work with a MAC; when I plug the drive in, all the data is just there in the open, no password needed, etc.
Summary: Looks like a solid drive hardware wise, the software seems to leave a lot to be desired. The best bet is just to format the drive and use it as an external drive, without all the fancy "stuff" they've put on there.
