Great Choice for College Students
Pros: Low Cost, Screen looks great, Lightweight
Cons: Very little extras, only 512 MB Ram
Review: I've been using this acer laptop for a couple months now. I got it for a super deal with 1GB of Ram for a little extra moolah (Acer should have included 1GB standard due to the new MS Vista/Office software that are memory hogs- only Vista Basic is included with this laptop). I didn't have much cash and I wasn't looking for something to replace my desktop. Bascially put, I wanted a laptop to take to college, library, study groups, etc. The Acer has done that and more. Its light, easy on the eyes, haven't had a single problem with anything with it so far. Its got all the features that most college students would need, but what it doesn't have are the extras that I would consider wants (not needs- I.e. entertainment purposes). Remember, this is a pretty lost cost laptop compared to others which throws in more goodies, so your not getting an entertainment laptop, more or less a business laptop. The video card for DVD playback is great and so are the speakers. No built in cam, but does have a mic for Skype. 5-in-one media card reader, WI-FI internet capabilities, TV hookup (cable not included), etc. Please read the specs. Everything else has run smoothly. For the price, this is a great choice.
