"Aspire 8920G Acers Top of the Line PC"
2.0 starson by lovebakerPros: Great screen, good media controller, put together well, fast, sleek, and easy to use
Cons: The biggest issue with the 8920G is that it supports two hard drives but does not have the capability to have them in a RAID array. For some reason they left it out of thier best unit. I was told maybe they could resolve it if I used pay support.
Summary: I would have given this a top rating if they had actually taken the time to resolve the issue. The chipset supports raid the intel raid manager is on the system it seems that in a rush to get to market they just chose not to put it into the bios. Seems like a simple fix but all indications from ACER and thier horrid technical support that they do not see a need to make it compete with other top-line-units. Even Gateway who they now own has it in a comparable unit at a much lower price. This unit could have been the unit I chose for several other notebooks needed but more than likely will go with Dell or HP that have comparable units with out the CineDash but the ability to create a raid with two drives and true HD (1920 x 1080/1200) displays.

please explain what you would do with a raid manager since i am interested in this computer or one of the models. the 1 i am interested in is the 8930 that supports 32 and 64 bit apps and has a 640 hd.
