Pros: Portable, easy to use, even runs office and can multi-task. I'd use a copy of XP that's been "lited" but I found this machine a little cracker and it's my preferred machine to use on the move. Buy the Linux one and then stick XP on it.
Cons: You won't be playing any 3D games on it but then again that's not why you buy a machine like this.
Summary: The Acer looks fantastic. Works really well and is relatively quiet. The Track pad is a little small, so buy a separate laser mouse. I use this machine all the time when I'm travelling and it happily runs office or my music. Indeed I pair this with a Logitech Squeezebox in the house and it streams my MP3's to that wonderfully well.

Pros: Compact and light weight.
Cons: Poor Manufacturing, Unable to open cover to replace the RAM. Many other reviews have similar cases for hardware defects blamed on the customer. They will not admit to manufacturing defects. Customer Care Department does not help.
Summary: If you purchase this product be ready for No Customer Support. They charge at least $199.00 jsut to replace the cover for the RAM I was never able to open becuase they claim I 'stripped' the screw that I was not able to open. I have worked on Hardware for years. This is a first for me. I will never be able to replace the RAM unless I crack open the cover. I have owned this system for one month only.
