"Just problems - I hate it..." on by istvansz
Pros: No pros - sorry.
Cons: Serial overheat problem
Less than mediocre customer serviceSummary: I bought my Acer 3810T 1,5 months ago.
They recalled it for some serial overheat problem. It took them 2 weeks to fix it (as they have only limited local services here in Hungary, they sent it abroad).
I've got it back recently. Now the speakers don't work... So another round.
I'm terribly frustrated. This is my first Acer and the last.
Stay away from it :O( -
"Awesome surprise" on by saojorgeofrio
Pros: Battery life - yes you can work 7-8 hours day. With HDSPA or WiFi on.
Screen - Beautiful 16x9 screen.
Ultra thin and lightweight -
4 GB of DDR3
Upgrade to WIndows 7Cons: Come with Mcaffee which slow down machine(after first update). Remove it and install Kaspersky and it will fly.
Summary: I was skeptical about Core 2 Solo U3500 performance but it works remarkable well . I am a heavy Excel user , Adobe Framemaker and Microsoft Word . This notebook is the right tool for companies or individuals who work with internet-spreadsheet-wordprocessor trio and dont want to spend a lot of money with Macs or Sonys. Dont expect play Halo or Crysis or "convert tons of video formats" .
Its 200 bucks more expensive than any netbook and imho worth every single dime because of screen , RAM and battery life. -
"Absolutely delighted with the product" on by hmwmohan
Pros: Light weight, 7+ hours battery life under normal usage. Power cut off when battery charged. Ver fast and beutiful HD screen
Cons: On Skype the speaker volume is very low and tech support response was "this is a feature of the product" Wi indicator says local only when interent is connected.
Summary: Your review says no Blue tooth my 3810T has Blue Tooth and I use a Blue tooth mouse. Overall great product

"Not satisfied with service" on by itvictoria
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Monitor broke 3 times. had to snd it for repair - paid for packing and still is not fixed.
Summary: It is a good PC when it works. But if the monitor keeps breaking and they could not fix it, it is of no use to me.

"Nice and light, seems quick enough" on by missclicker
Pros: lightweight
pretty quick so farCons: have had it less than a week and it's frustrating when fingerprints can't be wiped off the led screen or the outside cover. Hate to resort to chemicals
Summary: My primary laptop is just too heavy for frequent air travel, so i thought i'd find a small, quick travel pc.
so far so good, but i hate having it look like i just ate an entire plate of fries then handled it.
won' t be able to use it for prolonged periods of time, the led screen's reflectivity is hard on the eyes.
