    "Bad experience"

    Pros: Good workmanship

    Cons: Does not work when I first got it

    Summary: I lived in Vancouver, Canada. I saw one in Ferrai Store in Las Vegas. It was red colour. I was really excited for the colour. When I came back to Canada. I order one from one of the Acer suggested online supplier in Toronto. They shipped to me by Purolator. When I opened the box, it was black instead of red. I phone Canada Acer and USA Acer, they both told me it should be black. Nobody believed that I saw a red one. I had no choice but started the notebook according to the instruction manual. It stopped in the middle of loading the Window Vista. I had no choice but to re-started again even though the manaul said not to disturb during start up process. Then It went through the whole startup process. I tried to connect it to me home network using wireless, but it kept on saying there is no wireless device. I took it back to my company. It is the same. Next day, I phoned the customer service. They first suggested me to reset the computer to factory default. I did it with their help. It would take more then 2 and half hour to setup again. In the middle of the setup, the computer stop again. Then I phone the customer service again. With their help on the phone, the setup process was completed. We tried to connect it to the internet using wireless, but again it comes out with no wireless device. The technican asked to confirm the device showed in the device manager. His comment was that either the wireless device is at fault or there is no wireless device in the computer. (that means the manufacturer forgot to put one in). He suggested either give it back to the supplier since it is brand new or return it the depot for repair. Since I paid for a new computer, I did not agree to send it back to the depot for repair. I phoned the supplier and gave them the fully detail. The answer was that there was back up orders. I might take over 2 months for a new one. I told him I could not wait since my old machine was down and he agreed for the refund. So I sent it back to the supplier on April 8, 2008. Until now (April 23), I have not get any refund from the supplier. He explained that he had to get refund from his wholesaler first. I am now stuck with no computer and no refund. He did not told me when can I have my money back. I phone Canada Acer twice. All I can do was leaving my name and phone number, but no body phoned back. What a bad experience. Take my word. Never buy anything from online or telephone. There is no protection at all. I hope Acer Canada pay more attention to the customer satifaction.
