"One awesome machine!"
Pros: It's a racing workhorse
Cons: Software for optical drive substandard
Summary: Beyond its pedigree, this incomparable beauty is the workhorse I've been loooking for. My only complaints so far concern the optical drive. A couple times so far I've had to twist a penny in the slot to extricate a jammed-in DVD. Also, the drive software is the worst of the worst. Sorry. Several times I've had it fail to even recognize R/W DVDs written by my other computers with Easy CD creator. This is the same outfit that put out that sloppy "B's Gold" application, but is now under a different name. No surprise they've had to change their name. It seems to be designed for the non-computer-literate and has minimal functionality. That wouldn't be too bad, I suppose, except that it also doesn't even work well. It's a disappointment, especially in a machine That I expected to be crafted for high-end users.
Optical drive aside, I am emphatically pleased with this machine. A real beauty that performs.
