    "The Worlds Best Laptop!"

    by wdlee123 on June 28, 2007

Pros: Right Size, Battery Life, Rich Feature Set

    Cons: None Worth Noting

Summary: Apple pulled off the finest computing experience. One could pick apart minor things but the MacBook has more pluses than any Sony or Lenovo we've ever owned. And rather than focus on what the competition lacks let?s talk about what the MacBook has and what you should know.

First, don?t forget your Apple Care at $249 or you?ll find out how that red headed, unloved stepchild felt. Plus the added peace of mind is priceless. If you?d like to take your ownership experience up a notch add a dot-Mac account for only $69 when purchased with your new computer. As for hard drive space go for size over speed as long as its 5400 rpm?s or greater. As for the shiny screen it aids in contrast and color saturation but can pick up glare like all similar laptop screens on the market. Black or white is a choice. The flexibility of running Windows under Boot Camp or Parallels Desktop for Window virtualization is a huge plus especially for those fearful of moving away from Windows cold turkey. However, you shouldn't be afraid to move into the light ? there is peace in the light!

Frankly, the fun never ends. And in October 2008 when Leopard, Apple's latest operating system rolls out it will add many more user friendly, productive, and intuitive features. Apple made using our computer fun again! And after years of hardware and software not working together Apple is a welcome guest in our household. If a company took building hardware seriously they would write their own software - Apple did! Good Luck and Happy Computing!

With the Macbook's current specifications, do you think it'll be easily upgradeable to the new OS -- Leopard?
