"WHY IS ANYONE RATING THIS ALREADY!!!!!!"
Pros: Its an Apple, Intel Core Duo Processor, included iSight, brighter screen, better ATI1600 graphics card, bragging rights
Cons: unknown battery life, no known major software improvements, i feel gypped now
Summary: i have a 15" Powerbook that i bought about 6mos ago, and i love it, so i am going to ASSUME that the MacBook is going to be just as good, hence the 8 rating, but i do not understand why everyone is giving it perfect tens, or for that matter fours (Mr. Alienware). The one thing that i hate about CNET is that they let people rate products before they are even released to the public. e.g. PS3, Revolution, even the 360 before it was released. I guess there will always be some asinine people around.

People do actualy get to test these before they are released to the public. Don't you think that people working at Apple surf the web too? Keep on rating

I think Cnet does it so the fanboys can release their anger and vent their anxt. It is annoying though,

one can rate something they don't own or allowed to "preview" through the manufacturer anyway. I normally ignore the item if it's still unavailable. And I definitely don't post opinions that are pointless due to a limited view from one source. RESEARCH is key & imho I think one should shut up if they don't own the product.

I hope for all the excitement about the new processor, they can keep the lid clasps from failing in the first 6 months.
My friend has one with a clasp that failed. It doesn't stay closed now.
Maybe Steve Job's can spend some time on that issue... -
Then why did you rate it?
