"The Best Computer Money Can Buy" on by bombo123
Pros: No Viruses, No Errors, No Freezes, No Hassle
Cons: It's a lot of money.
Summary: I have have used windows and macintosh computers. I have had the opportunity to try the MacBook and the older MacBook Pro. This compter is by far the best. I ran to get it as soon as it came out. It is suprisingly much faster than old macbook pro especially in the 2.4 GHz model. It also has the best graphics I have ever seen in a computer. It even beats all of dell and alienware's high-end gaming machines. It is easy to use and can store more than you could imagine. Who ever you are, this is the computer for you. You can create things which you would not think are possible to create with a home computer. Before I got this computer I thought only people in hollywood could do special effects, and only people in photo studios could distort images but now I know i can with no hassle at all. for the smallest and largest of tasks this is a great computer.

"Spectacular machine for anyone looking "no compromise"" on by newbit
Pros: Clean design, powerful enough for any professional use and demanding applications (graphics, movies, scientific...). Runs Windows even better than a PC so NO limit for squeezing the best from both of the two world (Windows and Mac OS). Bright screen.
Cons: May be battery could be more efficient, but hard/long work rarely is done purely in the field.
Summary: For me this is the perfect machine: I could not ask more for the moment. A better price however will be very appreciated!

"Excellent design, battery life, & user experience a 9star" on by cyphertek
Pros: Its an elite laptop that handles heavy professional graphics workloads well. Since most windows based computers crash 90% more, its a no brainer.
Cons: Too expensive. The only way to take advantage of this blessing of a machine is to max out the old MasterCard , so lets face it, the adverage wage earner cannot justify this expense.
Summary: So far I have been quite pleased with the MacBook Pro. The design is likened to that of a 2007 LS 460 Lexus Hybrid, meaning its what all laptops aught to be. Unfortunately this is not utopia. The reality is that, this primium laptop presteige and proformance, comes at rediculously insaine sticker shock "$2,499.00 plus tax" brand new and thats a lot of peanut butter and jelly.
I rendered and burned a few DVDs with this machine and found it to work better than any windows based computer I have ever worked with. Apple has effectively minimized the the learning curb substancially with an armada of online video tutorials that give one a since of confidence and hope. With this laptop one spends more time up and running as opposed to racking your brains out trying to do the most basic of computer tasks.
In my oppinion, I say, "if you got it, go ahead and invest it here," since life will suddenly get a lot easier in the digital domain. If Noah was a computer he'd probable be the MacBook Pro. Heed the warning.
Is it compatible to everything ? Emphatically no, but then again who or what really is any way.
Peace

Pros: It's an Apple Mac, Fast at 2.6GHz, Leopard, High Definition Display
Cons: Superdrive does not work always for wrting VIDEO DL +R DVD's
Summary: It's a Mac - It is Excellent - Support is in the USA and well trained support personnel. Ordered a custom configured system with the 250GB HD, 2.5GHz Dual Processor, High Def Display. Expanded the RAM to 4GB after receipt. Took 3 weeks for the system to be built - but worth the wait! Highly recommend this laptop to someone working with graphics, documents with embeded graphics, Web Design, Adobe Creative Suite. This will make you throw your PC away and never want one again!

"Incredible machine" on by kdj916
Pros: Fantastic display, beautiful design, fast, DVD burner, excellent graphics card, etc...
Cons: Ummmmmm....
Summary: I've been in the IT industry from the infancy of PC's and have used a LARGE variety of computers over the years. I can say without reservation that this is the best computer I've ever owned or used. Apple did not skimp on any part of this machine- from the processor, Nvidia graphics card, memory, DVD burner, and most of all the display- The MacBookPro is an incredible machine. I've never owned a Mac product (I've used high end laptops from IBM, Toshiba, and Dell over the last few years)- the big draw was to own a machine that could run both the OSX and Windows operating systems and utilize the best software in both worlds.
In two words- Bootcamp ROCKS! I've run multiple OS's on a variety of machines, but Bootcamp made the process seamless- from partitioning the disk to loading the Windows OS- everything just works. The windows drivers (includes: video, DVD, track-pad, and various low-level hardware) loaded flawlessly. I bought (Gasp!) Windows Vista Home premium which again- loaded without Issue... along with the 33 critical updates (did not overwrite the Bootcamp Drivers). The only real issue was the lack of a PC card slot (very common for most new machines to only have an express card slot). I bought an Express Card to PC Card adapter (from Dual I think) and I was in business with my old Sprint EVDO card. In my current experience- the MAC OS is rock solid and the Vista OS... not so much. I had the audacity (sarcasm) to insert the Sprint card too early and the Vista OS loaded incompatible drivers (or maybe it was the Cisco VPN software)... long story short- had to reload Vista from scratch- again... more careful.. bueno outcome.
Just a little side note before I finish- I was in a couple of airports over the past week. I really enjoyed the surprised looks my MacBook display received and then the inevitable jealousy. I really felt proud of the machine- I'm now an Apple customer for life.
