"very impressed"
Pros: speed, excellent software, ablity to run windows & a beautiful screen
Cons: price is steep...but you get what you pay for
Summary: I recently made the big switch from pc to mac, and I have absolutely no regrets. This machine makes it a joy to work in the day, and a pleasure to do normally mundane tasks. Customer Service has been superb, and I've seen no crashes in 2 months. Battery life is astounding for its power and size and peripherals are a breeze to set up.
I cannot think of anything negative thus far except that it hits the pocketbook a bit hard. I have also been using parallels to operate my windows based software, and am astounded by it.
The firewire ports, along with iMovie, iDVD software have made transferring and editing movies easy and fun. The system is also well integrated from software to software and with .mac. I cannot recommend this product more and am not one to give out perfect scores, but this MacBook Pro deserves a 10.
