"High End Laptop - Name a feature and it's got it."
Pros: All the conictivity you will find in a laptop
Cons: 17" screens are almost too big, even this well designed mac.
Summary: I have 2 coming for customers this week, but for now, suffice it to say that they are HIGH END laptops. If you want general purpose get a Macbook, not Macbook PRO.
It's about completeness. You buy this laptop and you won't be suffering from lack of features and options. It has it all. Built in CAMERA, Infrared Remote, DL DVD Burner, WiFi G, Bluetooth ERD 2.0, SATA HD, 256MB Video RAM, 17" Apple Pro LCD, Analog & Digital Audio IN & OUT, Backlit Keyboard, Gigabit, Dual Link DVI, FW 800, USB 2.0, and MagSafe power connector... did I miss anything?
General Purpose? You've got to be kidding!
And before anyone tries to point out some supposed lack of software, save it for a Windows vs MacOS war and keep in mind this will run windows either natively or virtually at near native speed (speaking from experience), but I'm talking about the hardware in this review.
Oh, and the 15" Macbook Pro I setup last week rocks too. Unless you need/want the extra screen size, it's almost the same bang for many fewer bucks.

How about a media card reader?

I'm sure it's a great notebook. I'm even looking to get a Mac notebook for home. This one, however, is a little more than I need and therefor too expensive. It's a Ferrari, when all I'm looking for is a Corvette.
