"First Mac ever and I'm glad I switched over"4.5 starson by lifendz
Pros: Simple elegant design, Aesthetically pleasing, fast navigation of the various screens, a back-lit keyboard, and that's only day one
Cons: The green button doesn't maximize all screens like the full square button does on a PC, and learning all the short cuts and ctrl-alt-del equivalent on a Mac.
Summary: First off the price is probably the biggest barrier for many people. If you go online and select education store, and find "your school" wink wink, you can save a hundred bucks off the bat and I got a free 8gb Ipod. Sell the Ipod and you've just saved approx 300 bucks! Maybe now the price isn't so bad, huh?
Maybe I'm just buying into the propaganda but I've never had a laptop boot up so quickly. It's so awesome to get going in a few seconds.
The trackpad is huge and I made a decision to master it and not get a mouse. How this thing works is so amazing. There's no right click but if you use two fingers you can get all the stuff a right click would do.
In short, I love the book. It's so small and thin and yet so powerful. My buddy gave me a hard time about buying a Mac because I could get so much "more" on a PC, but I'm glad I didn't listen.
No more blue screens of death, no more constant freezing, and no more anti-virus, defrags, etc etc.
Make the change. Be a Mac.
