  • "Probably one of the best laptopts this far..."

Pros: Almost everything; The feeling, the look, the speed, the flow, the screen, the mouse pad... etc etc. I can go on forever.

Cons: The battery is placed within the computer, Apple is now using FireWire 800 only. The price might also be seen as a "con".

Summary: Its probably the fastest, best working, most insane computer I have ever owned. Its incredible fast (thats Mac!). The mouse pad is exactly as cool and well working as Apple explains on their homepage. The screen gives a feeling that makes me look upon my one year old 20" iMac as a really "old" computer.

The sound as well as the webcam does not give anything special, but thats not to expect from any computer retailer (and at least not for a laptop).

I really like that the full "body" is built in aluminum. It feels really stable and longlasting.

I dont like that Apple (this is not for Macbook Pro only, but for all the new Apple models) have started to use FireWire 800 only. The 6-pin version of FireWire 600 have been quite "standard" with cameras, sound-interfaces etc for quite some time now. So this means that me as a webmaster/musician/amateur video editor, needs to change aaaaall my cables for my equipment. And its quite annoying to have to do that.

As some other people already mentiones I see it as quite a bad thing that the battery now is placed inside the computer, and to be able to remove it or change it - You have to open up the whole computer.

I mostly use the included adapter for the computer to not use the battery. And thats for the most of the cases. I sure hope that my Macbook Pro wont "overload" and have decreased performance 'cause of that. If I would use another laptop I would for sure remove the battery when being used at home and then to add the battery when going somewhere else.

Anyhow; The Mac batteries are, according to my opinions from the past, quite longlasting anyway. Some years ago I bought a 5 - 6 year old iBook G4 that had its original battery - And it worked as it was new, and gave a battery time up to about 7 hrs.
