"Still no Blu-ray! :("3.0 starson by Scenario1
Pros: Speed improvements are always welcome as long as it doesn't generate too much heat on one's lap in the summer.
Cons: Lack of a Blu-ray drive and Apple's infatuation with glossy screens spoil an otherwise welcome update.
Summary: Apple obviously isn't supporting Blu-ray because it would cannibalize their 30% commission on every iTunes sale-- as if truly savvy users buy media through iTunes versus ripping it themselves from borrowed or rented source discs. As a result, Mac users lose out on an important hardware choice for the foreseeable future. Apple is better off removing the antiquated "StuperDrive" and letting users choice from other manufacturers.
There also still appears to be no choice of ordering a matte-finish screen with a black bezel. The glossy screen is virtually unusable in any ambient light, and Apple knows it. Shame on them for yet another year!
