"Dead Pixel after 1 year"0.5 starson by k_nabeel
Pros: Never had an issue within warranty period
Cons: Overpriced product
Cheap quality retina display(Will start producing dead pixels right after 1 year)
Summary: I bought my Macbook Pro 13" Retina Display with 256 SSD a few weeks after its launch from JB-Hi Fi in Perth in October or November 2012. It served me well until the last month when a dead pixel has sprung into existence right in the middle of the screen. The only reason I bought this product was to enjoy the retina display technology and trust apple's history in delivering quality products for an elite cost.
Now I am stuck as the warranty has just run out on the product and I have a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen. A quick google search revealed that I am not the only one suffering from this dilemma with numerous retina display MacBooks have experienced dead pixel issues after 1 year. Thus I believe Apple products will not last after the mandatory 1 year warranty period and is a waste of good money to be spent on.
I should have bought a regular product with a regular screen which would have lasted longer. A regular screen is a much better pick than a retina display with dead pixels. I feel I payed the price to fly first class on a A380 but instead ended up receiving a budget airline service where I have to pay for my sandwich.
Strongly advice against purchasing the product.
