This display is 2560-by-1600 native resolution at 227 pixels per inch with support for millions of colors. For this model the scaled resolution is 1680 by 1050, 1440 by 900, and 1024 by 640 pixels. The 15 inch version boosts a 15.4-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit display with IPS technology retina display. On the 15 inch model the scaled resolution is 1920 by 1200, 1680 by 1050, 1280 by 800, and 1024 by 640 pixels. A 2.5GHz Dual-core Intel Core i5 processor which can be turbo-boosted to 3.1GHz is found inside the 13 inch machine, while on the base 15inch model you can find a 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor which can be turbo-boosted to 3.3GHz. On both models 8GB of 1600MHz DDR3L onboard memory is standard. Whilst the 15 inch model can be upgraded to 16GB of ram the 13 inch model cannot be upgraded.
