"Never going back to Windows!"
Pros: Portability, good size keyboard, Operating System, Sexy Look, Great features for the price
Cons: The screen is small if you are used to more standard 14-15in. screens
Summary: I have been a recent convert to Mac after purchasing an iPod several months ago. I was so impressed with the iPod, I couldnt help but shelling out the cash to get a new powerbook. Even though the price came out to $1,700 rouglhly (@ the apple store in a local mall) it was 110% worth it!
After experiencing Wi-Fi with my dell, it was a pain to set it up when I went to use another access point, but my powerbook searched and configured my wi-fi on the first boot! The new features of OS tiger are far superior than XP. It has all kinds of new gadgets to use like the Dashboard, iMovie, iDVD, iTunes and so on. Safari (mac's answer to internet explorer) is easy to use and no pop ups or ads have appeared in all my surfing. OSX Tiger is a beautiful, easy and use ful OS to switch to anyday.
The compuer is light, sleek and quiet. The speakers for this size model are located in the rear of the laptop and are pretty sufficient for a laptop. The processer is very speedy compared to higher priced pentium 4s. The stadard setup comes with a DVDRW drive, 64MB Nvidia Card, Wi Fi, Bluetooth, 512 RAM, and 80G hard drive. I hardly think any windows sytem can beat this package, including Dell! If youre looking for an alternative to the unreliable and often dull windows/pc laptops, this is the best system out there!

PC users, and Mac-Converts (like you and me) don't realize that Macs are pricey because they're so superior to PCs. And in the long run, PCs actually cost a lot more to own, between reduced productivity, reduced up-time, repair, parts going bad, viruses, etc. So you're right...it's 110% worth it

Mac OS is pretty good like that. You'll find it takes care of various things that are nothing but a headache in the PC world.

Windows XP is a joke. It's a joke PC users scratch their heads about, saying "I don't get it". Meanwhile Mac users are laughing their heads off. After I switched to Apple, I never wanted to go back to Windows because Mac OS is so bloody amazing. Sometimes I see a pretty cool looking PC but I think to myself....no matter how cool/powerful/interesting a Windows PC is.....you still have to deal with Windows XP. And that just isn't worth it!
Welcome to the world of real computing. Enjoy your new Mac. -
