Pros: Light (as 17" laptops can get), Massive screen real estate, very stylish laptop, and very powerfull. Also comes with a whole bunch of powerfull programs.

Cons: Non that I can see at the moment, but I would recommend buying the Apple Care package, incase something goes wrong. (Via a user error, dropping, etc)

Summary: As many people think, "Apple is too expensive"; but apple is expensive for a reason, it's products and software suites give you great results. This could easliy replace that big, bulky Windows-XP computer you have in your family study currently, its whole host of features, leaving not much to be desired.

Also, the case, and screen, are so beautiful, you would think it was a piece of modern art, and not a high-end desktop replacement! The feature with the battery I think is also quite cool, and funky; if your battery is running low, just close the screen, which puts the computer in sleep mode, and then take out the current battery, (the computer will keep whatever is in it's ram for 3 minutes, enough time to change a battery) and just slip in the new battery, and easliy and quickly get back to where you were.

    Pure bliss.

I suggest someone wanting to purchase the extended warranty (which I recommend for a laptop) via AppleCare Google for 3rd party resellers. I saved about $100 USD by purchasing it via a reseller instead of Apple.

It IS the same AppleCare warranty you can purchase for $350, only it will save you by going 3rd Party.....

I agree -it is what a laptop should be-and it is not more expensive-just better
