"Budget, no-frills laptop that delivers."
Pros: - Cheap
- No lag
- Good overall usage and interface
- Excellent mousepad (You won't get this kind of multi-touch mousepad in other conventional laptops)
- Good use of Asus HybridEngine, allows the tuning down of power usage as per needed
- Wireless-NCons: - Slightly heavier than its predecessors
Summary: I had no problems with its sleekness and overall usage. It delivers as an internet-surfing laptop with no-frills that is easily carried around with minimum fuss. Battery life is also a plus point since at its minimum power consumption it can last up to 5-6hrs. Though it can be a tad laggy when multi-tasking but in the first place this notebook is not meant to be a conventional laptop replacement. So i suggest for those who are using heavy graphics or processing power to forgo this laptop. It is outstanding in its own market range. Towering well above the likes of HP Mini Note and MSI Wind. It sets itself apart mainly with the ability to change the processing power consumption by the Asus- patented Hybrid Engine. Apart from its slight glitches here and there, Asus Eee PC truly delivers. And if i would recommend a notebook for those who frequently travel and yet doesn't have deep pockets, then Eee PC is the best you can get. Head down to the nearest retailer and get one. I assure you won't regret it.
- Though still cheap, i expected more juice at this price
- Lacking in graphics capabilities
- Slow when multi-tasking
- No internal optical-drive
- Small capacity of HDD
