"EEEPC 1000H is a value not to be missed!"
Pros: The Asus EEEPC 1000H kills with its 4+ hour battery life (wifi on), sleek design, and functionally-sized keyboard.
Cons: Fingerprint-prone case and odd right-shift key keeps this steal from being a 10
Summary: From the moment of unboxing, my hands have been stuck to this EEEpc 1000H. Xp loads up quick enough, and the included software makes this a great companion for editing papers in the coffee shop, taking notes in class, or just surfing the web at home. It has become the envy of all my tech-buds, and is a conversation starter no matter where I take it.
Mind you, this ain't the laptop you use to run Photoshop or Play 3D games on, but its a great COMPANION netbook that manages to fit anywhere in you backpack, and more importantly makes itself a useful applicaion to your life. The 10-inch size makes the keys almost fully touch-typable, (weird right shift key though) and has a bright and colorful screen.
The real reason I bought this was for the battery life. The portable internet will never be the same with this travel-mate. Its low battery consumption means you aren't scrambling to find a power-supply mid-report, so you can continue to sip that latte and procrastinate watching videos on HULU while updating yer craigslist ads.
A great buy for the price (many places have reduced to $550.00)that you shouldn't pass up if you are looking for a laptop to do some light portable computing on.
