"Power Adapter needs replacing after less than 1 week"

Great battery life (if you can charge the battery) -- as far as i can tellCons: Needed to replace power adapter in less than 1 week of owning the computer, no joke.
Horrible customer service from ASUS.Summary: I purchased this netbook last week, the cnet reviews strongly influenced this purchase. Unboxed the netbook, put in the battery, charged it up, everything was great. The battery life lasted me about a good 6-7 hours of e-mail, internet, some MS office work, and watched a video or 2 from streaming Netflix. Cool.
Only problem was when I went to recharge my batter for the SECOND TIME EVER OWNING THIS NETBOOK, the power adapter wasn't working. The little blue light on the adapter wouldn't light up. I tried unplugging and plugging back in, nothing. Tried different outlets in my place, nothing. Called ASUS customer service and was on hold for 40 minutes. The guy on the line informs me they can send me a replacement since the netbook is under warranty (obviously), but I would have to 1st mail in my defective adapter before they send out the replacement. Insane!
After further review, if you read the customer product reviews on Amazon, apparently TONS of owners of this model have been having the same issue. Not cool.

I'm surprised you had an issue with ASUS customer support, when I had problems with my ASUS laptop, they were very quick to help, sent out a courier to my door to pick it up and even replaced the case which had superficial scratches in it for no charge and it was back within a few days. I'm curious as to why you think it's insane to send the adapter back before receiving a replacement, that's pretty standard in my experiences with many companies.
