"Somebody is brain dead AGAIN"
Pros: Solid build Awesome looks, 2yr warranty free, name brand components, One of the best looking laptops, You will be the envy of everyone.
Cons: Asus doesnt pay Cnet enough to compare to equal products.
Summary: Ok lets compare the racing performance of a Mustang GT to a Mustang Cobra! Sound fair to you? That is exactly what Cnet editors must think because how can you possibly compare the ASus G2 base model 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7500; 2,048MB DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz; 256MB Nvidia GeForce Go 8600M GT to the XPS 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme X7900; 2,048MB DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz; 512MB Nvidia GeForce Go 8700M GT; 200GB(x2) RAID 0 7,200rpm. The Voodoo was the closest comparison for procesor speed and video card but still has an edge with 200mhz x2 processor speed and double the ram on the video card. Yet still managed to blast the Alienware and the Voodoo on Quake 4. Why are we always having to defend Asus, who is arguably the best motherboard manufacturer in the world, who doesn't buy their MB's from the cheapest bidder and paint their name on it like all the big boys do. Thanks Cnet for another unfair, uneven notebook review. Dollar for dollar you can't beat Asus Laptop.
