"N10j feedback from someone who actually own one!"

by yycools on January 25, 2009

Pros: -Flexibility, Choice between Power and Battery Life
-Built quality, doesn't feel like a toy
-Assurance, 2 years global warranty, 1 year Accidental Damage Warranty and 30 days dead pixel warranty
    -Superior Technology, 9300mGPU, HDMI, Express34,802.11n

Cons: -Screen, resolution is a bit low, but it is a netbook after all

Summary: The ultra low score reviews on this page does not reflect the opinions of the actual owners of the N10j. I feel those reviews are quite unjust. How can you review something purely by reading the spec sheet? I actually own and use my N10j everyday and I love it. I searched for a netbook to replace my huge Dell Vostro 1500 for some time. While the Asus Eee lineup offered very competitive pricing, I felt that the Eee PC(and all other netbooks infact) had to cut corners in term of technology or built quality in exchange of the lower price. The N10j, while bounded to some of the same constrains, did not make the compromises as the other netbooks. True the price is higher, but it is relative, how many netbooks or laptops can you find out there that give HDMI and dedicated graphics for less than $610? Yes, you can get a N10j for for around $600 now, just search and you'll find it. To be honest, you really can't get a better deal than the N10j, the warranty itself should worth the difference. I want a netbook that can output 1080p video to my TV, play the latest games on top of running business applications like excel and SAS, the N10j does all of this beautifully. That been said, the N10j might not be for everyone, if you have no multimedia needs other than watching FLV or Divx, you might not want to spend the extra dollars on the N10j. Don't judge the N10j purely on price alone, you'll get a lot from the extra dollars you spend. To find out more about how the N10j owners think about the N10J, try here: n10user.com
