"Great Laptop - Mac Crusher"
Pros: Size, features, price warranty
Cons: None so far, except no DVD drive
Summary: I bought this after owning one of the W7 series laptops. My son broke it after 14 months, and Asus paid overnight shipping both ways and repaired it in 48 hours. All free, based on the registration I did when I boguht it -- no bullcrap like receipts or box labels -- just fixed it fast and free.
That made Asus a frontrunner when I wanted an even smaller laptop for traveling. This looked best based on features and price, and has not let me down. The absence of a DVD drive is he only lack -- but I have a tiny one that easily fits in the bag and is powered off the USB port. Never use it - and would only to watch a movie, which I could just download to the hard drive at home anyway. Basically, this is a communication machine, and it has been a total winner. Asus support is the best in the computer business; Compare to Mac -- took 30 minutes to get a live person and they couldn't help with a MacBook problem --or HP: a 13 month old $2,400 desktop, and they wouldn't help without a $60 payment.
