Okay for starters

Pros: Nice large screen for a laptop. Handles most things that I can throw at it and is relatively durable. Definitely recommend the 2Gig upgrade for memory. Its relatively cheap and makes a big difference.

Cons: Unfortunately it is quite slow given the slow single core processor. So when comparing to modern computers it just can't keep up. The screen while large is quite choppy with the graphics when watching movies or playing games.

Review: Bottom line I think that this computer is a nice computer for kids or teens that just need one to do very basic internet or word processing. It will handle watching DVDs and online videos, just don't try to do much multi-tasking the processor just can't handle it.

Great Value

Pros: just a nice package for the money

Cons: be prepared to add 1/2GB memory minimum

Review: Really nice package for the money. Great screen. Missing some options like firewire port and dvd burner.
Just be prepared to add memory. This PC is unusable with Vista Basic and 512MB. No PC with Vista should be sold like that.

Nice little PC if you are not into very high CPU demanding tasks.

Pros: Nice screen, nice keyboard, nice layout.

Cons: Not to good on performance unless......

Review: I have had this computer for about 5 months and for what I paid for it ($500) new, I am very satisfied. At first, I was very regretful until I was looking at forums for this and I saw that it has an upgradable RAM. The computer comes with 2-1 GB slots. It comes with one 512 MB card. PROBLEM!!!!. I went on ebay and bought one 1GB PC-4200 SODIMM RAM Module for my comuter for about 40 dollars brand new.(If you buy from HP, its about $180.) So with this new RAM module that took about a minute and a half to install, boosted performance by about 250%. I am now playing high load games such as Flight Simulator X with settings all the way up and its running great. I still have Vista on it but I bet it would probably improve about 400% if I downgraded to XP.(which I am still thinking about). The maching is a great laptop for basic computing and if you want boosted performance, just spend an extra $40.
Updated
I downgraded my computer to XP by dual partitioning my hard drive, pulled all the wanted files of of my Vista partition, then deleted that and I would say thats the next best thing that I ever did to this computer. My friend has a HP Pavilion DV6000(something like $1200?) for it and my computer will match his performance now, and mine cost me $540 brand new. Best thing I ever did.
