"Bad quality machine!!"
Pros: alright speed if you upgrade the ram
Cons: doesnt have the specs to even run windows vista home premium!!
Summary: Ok, i got this computer for christmas two years ago..so i cant really complain..but this has to be one of the worst computers iv ever used. the first problem i had was the NVIDIA 6100 card..this graphics card isnt even fast enough for the vista theme..then it was the WIFI card, i sent the computer in, i got it fixed..thennn the screen started flickering a couple days ago..and it went out for probably a day..i turned it on the other day and it worked again..and now the cd drive is not reading disks anymore..the speed is alright, but i upgraded the RAM, and i personally am not a fan of AMD! All in all its not worth it, stay away from compaq/hp completely!!

This is exactly the problem
1. Defective WI FI card
2. Defective motherboard(possibly), as screen appears messed up or out before the computer starts reading the hard drive... resolve temporarily this issue by removing all power, hard dive, memory.. press start button for a few seconds...
