Surprisingly powerful and reliable, Stands up to hours of gaming

Pros: Runs smoothly and at advertised speeds, Long battery life, mid to high level of gaming performance, comfortable and sturdy.

Cons: There are only 3 USB ports, upgraded GPU is 256mb shared/256mb onboard

Review: I typically build my own desktops, so this is the first laptop I've owned (though I've worked with many before). My options 2.33GHz Processor, 2gb RAM (highly recommended), 100GB 7,200 RPM Hard drive, 512mb Nvidia NVS 120m, Top Quality Display.
Let me get right to the review now. For the everyday user: If you do nothing beyond browse the internet, load music to and from you ipod, email, chat, video conference, photoshop etc.. this laptop is top-notch. It has a professional look and has the functionality to match. Stop reading, open up your bookmarks and add it to your cart.
For the gamers: I recommend getting the upgrade to the 512mb Nvidia NVS 120m graphics card. It's only another $50. This is because that extra 256mb is actually the video card stealing part of your RAM, but if you get 2gb or RAM you won't notice it. The GPU uses only DELL drivers so no NForce unless you use a modded .inf. Get the 7,200 RPM hard drive even if it means a loss in storage space. I play Half-Life 2 with the highest settings with no slowdown whatsoever except online where you have to lower the resolution. It runs Oblivion with low-mid settings. It runs Guild Wars, Doom 3, and Morrowind ridiculously well at the highest setting of course.
To Everyone: I recommend getting your nerdy friend to reformat your hard drive upon arrival and reinstalling Windows to get the "extras" off. Also update the drivers from the DELL website not the startup disk that comes with the computer. The 9-cell battery is nice if you are on the road- at maximum brightness while watching movies the battery will last a minimum of 6 hours. Still thinking "Yea Yea, but it's a DELL; wouldn't I be better off buying a scientific calculator?" To be honest, I hated DELL before buying this laptop, and the whole experience, right up to this moment has been eye-opening. I'd like to see one extraterrestrial inspired brand show this level of customer service.
