Pros: thoughtful touches, like speaker in front so that you can listen to music with top closed, also you can see status lights with lid closed. Battery level ON BATTERY is genious so you don't have to boot up machine. Fast, haven't had any real problems so far
Cons: It was expensive, only 2 usb and they're all the way in the back (firewire is on the side which is nice). It has done the strange "mom i don't wanna wake up" thing where it has trouble coming out of its sleep mode.

Cons: runs slow and hard drive failed
Summary: We bought this computer in May of 04 after much research. Unfortunatley all the research I did was for nothing as this computer has been a slow machine and started having errors within the first year of use.
It has now been a little over a year since we bought it and I have fixed error upon error, reformatted the hard drive continued to fix errors even after this and finally can no longer start this computer even in safe mode.
Maybe I just got a lemon but if that is so then I'm not the only one as I have read another review stating there hard drive failed too.
All I can say is dude I ain't gettin another dell!! -

Pros: Great Customization, can upgrade video to 128MB, HD to 60GB 7200rpm, and get a second battery for the cd slot, plus the 15.4" screen is great for displaying two programs open at once.
