"Great Notebook at a Budget Price"
Pros: Decent performance at bargain price
Cons: Design not as good as Toshiba or Sony
Summary: This is a second notebook that I purchased directly from Dell in two weeks. (This one is for my girlfriend.) I bought Inspiron 6000 for myself for $1342.95 taxed & shipped. Here's the spec for my 6000:
- Pentium M 760 2.0GHz
- 15.4" Ultrasharp WUXGA
- 1GB DDR2 1 Dimm
- 128MB RADEON X300 Express x16
- 100GB 5400rpm
- Windows XP Media Center Edition
- 802.11a/b/g & Bluetooth 2.0
- DVD+/-RW Double Layer DVD Burner
- 2 batteries (one 6-cell & one 9-cell)
Now, look at the specs of the B130 that I ordered for 879.90 taxed & shipped:
- Pentium M 740 1.73GHz
- 15.4" WXGA
- 1GB DDR2 2 Dimm
- Integrated Intel 900 Graphics
- 80GB 5400rpm
- Windows XP Home
- 802.11b/g
- DVD+/-RW Double Layer DVD Burner
- 1 battery (6 cell)
Look at the differences, it's almost $400 cheaper! The major differences that I can notice are the sharpness of the monitor and the display speed. Also, it doesn't have an additional battery like mine. Otherwise, it's well worth the money.
You won't find another notebook with comparable specs in the market, not with Pentium M and 1GB RAM. So, if you are looking for a notebook cheap, buy this one and upgrade it to Pentium M and 1GB RAM. Then, you're good to go. The downside is it does not have enough graphics accerelator power for some type of applications.

You said that you cannot run certain applications on the B-120. Which ones are they?
Thanks for the Info.
