Actually, I really did love my Shiny Black Laptop when it wasn't having a headache. It suited my needs perfectly + had no problem handling full version of Photoshop etc.Cons: Keyboard had to be replaced within first month. Left hinge broke and shell chipped off within 3 months (couldn't close one day + discovered broken pieces). Started shutting down by itself 3 days ago but I could get it to power back on... until today.

Pros: Battery life is a big plus, and its my new media center.
Cons: I found the keyboard keys to be a bit fragile.
Summary: If your looking for basic with A great price this is it. Oh did I say basic? Its a whole lot more.

Pros: cheap, great screen, light, best card reader Ive ever seen and the processor is pretty fast considering it is a dual core and not c2d or i core, easily accessible hdd and ram, decent keyboard
Cons: feels cheap, end up with lots of problems down the road, fingerprint magnet, screen/monitor hinges are very wobbly, poor battery life, easily damaged, gets hot quickly, has n-2 generation processors, can be extremely buggy,
Summary: this would be a good first or temporary laptop and i love the 7-in- 1 card reader it simply rocks! but keep in mind that you will always have ti be plugged in due to poor battery life (2.5 -3 hrs standby or very light browsing, half or less during heavy use). if you can afford to get some thing with a little better quality build and better spec for around 100 bucks more, but if you want a laptop with no battery life and only wanna use it to check email, watch youtube n hulu videos and just to say that you a a laptop for about a yr a 2 (3 if your extremely lucky) then this is perfect for you

Pros: The graphics are great, and the proccesor is fast. The whole system is very lightweight and durable. It has done anything and everything I have asked from it. Not to mention it won't break the bank.
Cons: The battery does not last as long as I would like, exspecially if your running a cd or dvd.

Pros: It's easy to turn on and off. That's about it.
Cons: The hinges for the monitor are loose, and affect the performance of the mouse pad. The mouse pad controls are very annoying. Battery life is about 2 hours. Glossy everything leaves fingerprints and smudges.
Summary: Take the time to review other laptop options. The Dell Inspiron 1545 is not high quality, and is made of very cheap, very shiny plastic.
