"Trust Me, do not buy this product"
Pros: Pretty good durability. It can take a beating.

you probably didn't even know how to work the computer. probably clicked on too many pop-ups and downloaded too much junk (which is loaded with spyware) and probably screwed your own computer up. your review was not helpful whatsoever, therefore I am discounting it and going with the good reviews.

I'm an I.T. Professional at a company I work for and we too use Dell products. I won this laptop in an auction to replace my gayway.. oops I mean gateway. So far his input is completely right. I put a 20gb hard drive with a fresh copy of xp and installed AVG, COMODO, SPYBOT & updated it right off the bat. I also put pidgin (chat program) on it after restart and -WOW- the software typically operates at an extrememly low CPU processing speed and this laptop crashed because of it! I have this unit on my lap on the couch now and these units are very prone to overheating, you have to be careful with placement. I'm surprised that there hasn't been a recall due to overheating of these c640's.
