Pros: Has only a 4.6-pound weight, which is lighter than some similarly priced notebooks.By way of comparison, the typical cost of a product with this light a weight is $1,405.This is a Centrino laptop, meaning it has special Intel components which are designed to run faster and to provide longer battery life, as compared to many other laptop computers. This notebook comes with a SmartMedia card slot, making it easy to swap digital pictures, wav files, and other files with your Palm Pilot.Has a modular media bay -- meaning its 8X DVD drive is removable, allowing you easily to swap it out for alternative or upgraded units.

Cons: Has only 128 MB RAM.This is not out of line with the product's price, but is less than the average notebook on the market today. The Dell Latitude D600 comes with entry-level word processing software -- serious business or academic document authors may want to upgrade to a full-fledged office suite.
