Pros: Beautiful machine! It arrived and it was gorgeous. Slick , Huge screen, roomy keyboard
Cons: Too Bad it didn't work from Day one!Not only did it not work properly,it kept crashing, freezing on the internet and on day 3 it refused to start up! It alerted me of a message stating that it can not start up & will shut down to prevent any damage!
Summary: This is the worst experience I have ever had buying anything! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do NOT BUY FROM DELL!!!!!!!!!!! I AM NOW OFFICALLY A MAC USER BECAUSE OF THIS! I purchased this computer. I used it slightly on day one. Although I noticed the web cam light wasn't operating. Day 2 it crashes. day 3 worked okay. Day 4 crashes. I called tech...they made me uninstall software , reinstall software, an hour later supposably all done. Day 5 more issues...I call Dell asking for replacement. Bounced around by rude service reps who refused to connect me to returns. I get connected to the tech department...Oh! do not worry maam, we will restore to factory settings. So again , I go through wasted time with the tech department. I will call you back to check on you, says the tech rep. Just follow the instructions.I reboot as told and next thing you know I can't start the computer. Message flashing....Can not start up. Windows can not recover. Shutting down to prevent further damage. I call Dell....again can not get connected to returns. After fighting with different departments I get a return rep. We will send out a repair man in 24 hours to replace the hard drive. 24 hours goes by and no phone call as promised to repair the system. I started thinking...If they replace the hard drive, I will be paying 1,400.00 dollars for a refurbished computer??? WHAT? And then I found other horror stories on the net of fixed Dell computers forever acting badly. NO this is what I did not want. So again, i get on the phone and am bounced around and around by Dell customer Service refusing to connect me to returns. I eventually get the returns department who tries to save the sale and says he will replace my computer ( which is what i was asking for by day 3 ) Just let me check with the Tech department. He comes back and says...sorry maam...we will not replace the computer it is software. I said to him are you kidding? This thing has not even turned on since day five of activation and you expect me to pay for a system that doesn't work??? Well maam, I can not comment on that! I finally yell I WANT TO RETURN THIS DEFECTIVE COMPUTER! Yes, maam, I will send you a fedex ticket to pick up the laptop in 24 hours. Well 72 hours and no fedex return label via e-mail as promised. Now I am on the brink of contacting consumer rights agencies and my states attorney general. BEWARE OF DELL HELL! Yes, these computers are price efficent but that is it! SPEND THE EXTRA 300 Bucks and get a decent system! NEVER AGAIN DELL!
