"Great HD playback w/ Blu Ray, Dual Headphone Jacks"
Pros: The screen siz, resolution and backlighting is fantastic, as is the build quality. The deciding factors for me were the HDMI output, dual headphone jacks and Blu Ray slot drive.
Cons: I had some initial problems with the blu ray drive and needed to reload quite a bit of software. Same with Vista - the initial problems have gone away since loading all of the available updates. The speakers are AWFUL.

"It's an okay laptop for the price"
Pros: Choices in style and color, choices in components (if you order from Dell), affordable, Firewire port, lots of USB ports, keeps cool
Cons: The higher-end video card is crap, and the higher-end audio card is crap. I would not buy this laptop for video games - and if you're going to use this as a music composing workstation, you will still need to buy an external sound card.
