Pros: Intel Core 2 Duo T6500 2.1 GHz (64-bit), 4GB DDR2 SDRAM, 320GB HD, DVD+/-, 15.6" TrueLife wide-screen HD display, 802.11b/g wireless card, network adapter, 8-in-1 card reader, 6-cell Lithium ion battery, built-in webcam & dual speakers in high def.

Cons: My only con is that I wish I had paid the extra bucks for a backlit keyboard. That would have been nice, but the screen is LED-backlit and very bright; and I've worked on computers 30 years now, so I don't need to look at the keys anymore anyway!!

Summary: [Continued from above.] I just have bad night vision so I could always use the extra light!! But for less than $5, I bought a flexible LED light I just plug in a USB port, so problem solved. ;O) The HD wide-screen display is truly amazing, it looks better than my television -- everything looks so real, almost 3D. And this baby is lightning fast!! The other reviewer complained it took an extra 1/2 to 1 hour to set up Windows Vista, but it always takes at least that long when you're using a new operating system. I'm sure it will take at least that long or even longer to learn Windows 7. That's not a con, that's just the way it goes! Hell, that's part of the fun for me after working on computers all these years. It keeps me from getting totally bored... just when I can work in my sleep, a new version of Windows comes out and wakes me up. Younger people today just want everything to be fast and easy, I like using my brain! I'm in MENSA so it must be good for you! :O) She'd have never made it back in the old days when the computers didn't do all the work for you like they do today. There's hardly any challenge to it at all now, anybody and everybody can use a computer these days. Most of her generation seem to be "overwight confusion" [sic] as she referred to herself (she even spelled that wrong with a spell checker right on her computer)... oh well. Come on guys, stretch a brain cell or two, it doesn't hurt a bit. And nothing good ever comes fast or easy. Trust me on that! If not, well you'll learn the hard way no doubt. Now don't get upset and go ballistic on me, I'm just an old hippy chick from the 60-70s so I see things very differently (thank God!). But no insult was intended whatsoever. I've used a lot (and I DO mean a LOT) of computers in 30 years and this one is damn near perfect! PEACE :O)

I agree with you, it's Missing a backlit keyboard.
But With some months of use you'll see my point of view. As I can notice, you use it for everyday computing, and You'll surely notice how it gets HOT, especially the trackpad area, making it unconfortable to use, and ocasionally a burned finger (happened to me sometines, especially after some gaming).
